SEO, AIO & GEO

Be found in search. Be useful in the answer.

Technical SEO, answer engine optimisation and generative engine optimisation for B2B businesses, with the engineering to put the recommendations into practice.

A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT

SEO helps search engines discover and understand your website. AIO and GEO extend the work to AI answers in services such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews. We focus on clear, useful content and a technically sound website, then measure what changes.

THE RIGHT FIT

When does this make sense?

01

AI Overviews are eating your traffic

Top-of-funnel queries that used to drive clicks now resolve inside Google's AI Overview without anyone visiting your site. The work is rebuilding your content so it's the source those overviews cite — and being honest about which queries are worth chasing.

02

You're migrating stacks

Replatforming can put existing search visibility at risk. Magento to Next.js, WordPress to Astro or Shopify to a headless build all need careful handling of URLs, redirects, content and structured data. We've done this on real B2B catalogues, and the 301 map is where most teams underestimate the work.

03

Your site is technically broken

Pages slow to load, structured data missing or invalid, indexation patchy, Core Web Vitals red on mobile. We review the underlying causes and can implement the code changes directly.

04

You want to be cited by AI search

You want your business to be discoverable and accurately represented in AI answers. We review content, technical access and how clearly your expertise is expressed, then prioritise useful improvements as these services evolve.

FROM IDEAS TO DELIVERY

What’s included.

01

Technical SEO audit

Crawl, indexation, rendering, redirects, sitemaps, canonicals, internal linking. The unsexy fundamentals that decide whether everything else you do matters. Delivered as a written report with a prioritised remediation list — not a 200-page export from a scanner.

02

AIO content audit and rewrite plan

A page-by-page review of how clearly your content answers the questions buyers ask. The output is a prioritised rewrite plan: definitions to add, headings to clarify, gaps to fill and relevant structured data to implement.

03

Schema and structured data

Relevant Product, Organization, Article, BreadcrumbList and other structured data, implemented and validated against the page content and canonical URLs. This helps search services understand the site; eligibility and display vary by service.

04

Core Web Vitals remediation

Measure and improve loading speed, responsiveness and visual stability on mobile. The work includes bundle size, images, font loading and render-blocking scripts. We implement the improvements and check their impact.

05

llms.txt and AI-bot configuration

Review robots.txt, crawler access and any llms.txt file against your preferences for AI access. We distinguish search visibility from model-training permissions and agree which content should be accessible. A configuration change does not guarantee a citation.

06

Migration safety review

If you're replatforming, this is the work that stops SEO equity disappearing. A full URL inventory, a 301 redirect map applied at the edge before DNS flip, schema parity checks, and a post-migration monitoring window. Cheaper to do as part of the rebuild than to fix in the panic phase after launch.

USEFUL TO KNOW

Common questions.

What is answer engine optimisation?

Answer engine optimisation (AIO) is the practice of making your content clear and accessible to services that generate answers, including Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. It overlaps with technical SEO and useful, authoritative content. The aim is to make your expertise easier to understand and cite, while recognising that each service chooses its own sources.

How is AIO different from traditional SEO?

Traditional SEO focuses on visibility in search results. AIO also considers how content can support a generated answer: clear definitions, direct answers to buyer questions, helpful structure and relevant structured data. Crawling, indexation and content quality still matter, and neither approach guarantees visibility.

Do you work on link building?

We do not run link-building outreach campaigns. Our focus is technical foundations, content structure and implementing the improvements that make the website more useful and discoverable. Content marketing and public relations can sit alongside that work.

Will you write content for us?

Not as the primary deliverable. We'll show you what content needs to exist and what shape each page should take — and we'll rewrite a representative sample so your team has a clear template. Long-term content production is better owned by someone close to your buyer; our job is to make sure the content that gets written is structured to be found.

Can you audit a Next.js site?

Yes. Next.js is a stack we use to build websites, so we can review the underlying code as well as what a crawler sees. That includes rendering, metadata, internal navigation, caching, performance and structured data, then implementing the fixes directly.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Search outcomes depend on factors outside our control — algorithm changes, competitor activity, the inherent search demand for your terms. What we'll commit to is the work itself: a technical baseline that doesn't undermine you, content structured for the surfaces that matter, and a monthly read on what's moving.
